What this usually means
The payment provider could not complete the charge. Common causes include an expired card, bank decline, insufficient funds, required bank authentication, a payment method issue or mismatched billing details.
Quick checks
- Open the failed payment in Kiyo Billing.
- Review the safe explanation shown for the failure.
- Check the payment method and expiry.
- Complete any bank authentication request.
- Review the bank notification or contact the bank when it declined the charge.
What Kiyo may already be checking
Kiyo records the payment result, identifies the affected service and shows whether retry or a payment method update is available. It also shows any service-specific deadline rather than using an invented universal grace period.
What to do next
Update the payment method and retry when Kiyo offers the action. If the bank shows a completed charge but Kiyo still shows failed, stop retrying and ask human support to investigate using the transaction date and amount.
Advanced checks
- Compare payment-provider status with the Kiyo transaction
- Check billing address and authentication state
- Review duplicate or pending bank authorisations
- Confirm the correct subscription or domain renewal was charged
