Account & Security

Closing your Kiyo account

Prepare websites, domains, billing and account data before requesting closure.

Closing affects more than sign-in

A Kiyo account can control hosting, domains, renewals, backups, Kiyo Tools, billing history and support data. Account closure must therefore be handled separately from simply signing out or cancelling one service.

Before requesting closure

  1. Review every active hosting, domain and paid tool.
  2. Transfer domains that should remain under your control elsewhere.
  3. Download backups and data you need to keep.
  4. Cancel or move hosting and connected services.
  5. Review outstanding invoices, renewals and payment issues.
  6. Confirm that no important website or domain still depends on Kiyo.

Domains are not silently abandoned

Closing an account does not imply that Kiyo should immediately delete or abandon a registered domain. Domain ownership and transfer or renewal consequences must be resolved as part of the closure review.

Closure requires verification

Kiyo may ask you to re-authenticate and complete additional ownership checks before accepting an account closure request.

Data and billing records

Some billing, transaction or security information may need to be retained according to service terms or applicable requirements even after access closes.
