Protection beyond the password
Two-factor authentication adds a second check after your password. If someone learns the password, they still need the registered second factor to sign in.
Supported security direction
Kiyo's strong second-factor options are an authenticator app and a compatible security key. SMS is not presented as the strongest account protection.
Enable two-factor authentication
Account→Security→Two-factor authentication→Enable→Register method→Save recovery information
Using an authenticator app
- Open Two-factor authentication in Security.
- Choose the authenticator method.
- Scan the QR code using your authenticator app.
- Enter the temporary code to confirm setup.
- Store the recovery codes securely.
Recovery codes
Recovery codes provide a backup when the normal second factor is unavailable. Keep them offline or in a secure password manager, never in a public file or support message. Kiyo shows whether codes are single-use in the security setup.
